That One Secret Question

There you are, just going about your business, doing what you love and coaching your client to the fulfillment of their important objectives...and then it happens...you ask that one question that sends an overwhelmingly loud silence into the space while your coachee's eyes roll busily in their sockets. You dare not budge nor move a muscle, so as not to disturb the massive processing you witness in front of you; you wait...and wait...until you hear those words of permission, "...wow, that is a really good question...". And then you have it - that moment that you experience first hand when the person in front of you has grown another inch.
